For those architects worrying that their business is bound to the location: here is a website of Maryke Louw, a Physiotherapist with more than 10 years’ experience in Sports & Exercise Medicine accredited with the Health & Care Professions Council in the UK.
She is providing ONLINE consultations and packages through her website.
I came across her YouTube channel because of a problem I have. In every video, she delivers AMAZING value and never forgets to mention to go to her website if the viewer needs a personalized online assessment and a treatment plan.
I am very seriously considering booking a call with her. Because of the trust she earned by providing immense value FOR FREE through her videos.
100 times out of 100 I would rather book a call with her than visit a local hospital with no reviews or terrible reviews by foreigners (just like me).
So no. Your Architecture business does not need to be dependent on the location any more than a physiotherapist.
You have to be generous in providing value and promoting yourself online through high-value content, not just sharing pretty pictures.
I’ve seen a great example of someone doing this as an Architect: go to TikTok and search for Georgina Wilson (@askanarchitect). She’s killing it.
You can too!
Think outside of the box and take examples from other industries.

P.S. I admit that creating content and delivering value takes time and it’s not for the faint-hearted. But the rewards are worth it. And the effort compounds.
